1. Purpose
The purpose of these General Terms of Use (hereinafter “TOU”) is to define the rules for accessing and using the website www.cityguide.app and the CityGuide mobile application (hereinafter “the Application”). By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge having read these TOU and accepting them without reservation.

CityGuide is the commercial name under which HKG Lab operates the site and the application.
3. Access to the Service
Access to the site and the application is open to any adult of legal age with a compatible device and Internet access. Certain features require a prior purchase (e.g., city audio guides). You are solely responsible for the configuration of your equipment and your Internet connection.
4. Creation and Management of the User Account
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. The information provided must be accurate, complete, and up to date. CityGuide reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of fraud, abusive use, or non-compliance with these TOU. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity carried out with your account.
5. Operation of the Service
CityGuide provides access to interactive audio guides that automatically trigger audio content based on your geographical position. The application also offers a dynamic map, a list of points of interest, local anecdotes, and partner discounts. Certain functions require the activation of geolocation, which you can disable at any time via your device settings.
6. Use of Content
The content (texts, sounds, images, videos, maps, logos, etc.) is protected by copyright and remains the exclusive property of CityGuide or its partners. Any reproduction, distribution, or exploitation without written authorization is strictly prohibited. The purchase of an audio guide grants a personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive right to use the content.
7. User Behavior
You agree to:
- Use the application in compliance with applicable laws.
- Not disrupt or attempt to alter the operation of the service.
- Not extract or distribute data, content, or files from the app.
- Not share access codes or licenses for commercial purposes.
Any fraudulent behavior or behavior contrary to good practices may result in the permanent suspension of the account.
8. Availability and Maintenance
CityGuide makes every effort to ensure continuous service, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance operations, updates, or technical breakdowns may temporarily interrupt access to the application without notice. No compensation may be claimed in this regard.
9. Liability
CityGuide cannot be held liable:
- In the event of a malfunction, bug, data loss, or service interruption.
- In the event of errors or inaccuracies in the provided content.
- In the event of non-compliant use of the application by you.
You remain solely responsible for your use of the application and the information you derive from it.
10. External Links
The site and the application may contain links to other sites. CityGuide exercises no control over these third-party sites and declines all liability regarding their content, security, or privacy policy.
11. Protection of Personal Data
The personal information collected is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You have a right of access, rectification, deletion, and opposition by writing to contact@cityguide.app.
12. Intellectual Property
All elements of the site and the application (structure, texts, sounds, images, source codes, databases) are protected by French and international laws on copyright and intellectual property. No transfer of rights is granted to you other than the limited right of use necessary for navigation.
13. Updates to the Service and the TOU
CityGuide reserves the right to modify the features, presentation, or conditions of access to the service, as well as these TOU, at any time. Users will be informed of any substantial modification via the application or the site. Use of the service after the publication of a new version constitutes acceptance of the changes.
14. Termination of Access
CityGuide may, at any time and without notice, suspend or terminate a user’s access in the event of non-compliance with these TOU, fraud, or abusive use.
15. Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction
These TOU are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts, unless otherwise provided by mandatory legal provisions.
